How is Demodex Spread?

Demodex mites have very short legs and walk up to 10 to 16 cm per hour. With that said, I think they're even slower than lazy sloth! 🙄

Fortunately, they cannot fly either. 😃

So how are these small, slow-moving Demodex mites so contagious?

The answer is so simple: Demodex mites do not have to move to a new host; instead, they wait for the host to come to them! 😲😲

Where do they wait for the new host? 🤔

• On towels, sheets, pillowcases, combs, and other personal items.
• On the host's face, hands, and body - when you shake hands or have close physical contact with him/her.
• On beauty salon equipment
• On the headrest in public transport

Demodex's birth rate is relatively high, and since it is too small to be seen, you do not know what surfaces it is on to avoid it.

That’s why you should observe your personal hygiene and don’t use other people's items.
