Could this be the way humans and robots will work together in the future?

SEAT’s Martorell plant in Barcelona is testing a pair of new autonomous mobile robots, another proof that robots can make workers’ lives easier (AMRs). The machines, designed by the French company Effidence, are largely used to move big loads such as batches of components throughout the 2.8 million square metre facilities. These have the capability to carry up to 250 kg and pull up to 500 kg. The robot can track the worker who tapped its touchscreen as he or she walks throughout the facility, navigating around people or anything in the way, by analysing continual 3600 readings. This distinguishes them from prior autonomous guided vehicles on the premises, which were required to follow pre-defined pathways in the floor.  “Autonomous mobile robots put us at the forefront of innovation in the sector”, stated Herbert Steiner, Vice President of Production and Logistics. They’re also a good example of how robots and employees may work together to make the job easier. Their inclusion aids in the advancement of Industry 4.0, making us more efficient, versatile, agile, and competitive”.

The company presently contains roughly 20 collaborative machines in the assembly areas, including the “cobots” responsible for applying the lettering on the Ibiza and Arona models. The corporation is also looking into how it might employ new technology to optimise operations, such as machine learning and big data.
